interrogation mark, and begin the words of explanation with a small
letter; as,
"Have you been waiting long?" she asked.
(_c_) When the quotation is an exclamation, conclude it with an
exclamation mark, and begin the words of explanation with a small
letter; as,
"Look!" he cried.
