front and lower part of neck just above sternum and clavicles; four
inches long, three broad; five superficial lacerated wounds on sides
of neck, four on left, one on right, apparently nail scratches. Two
contusions below and behind lower jaw. Also contusions on thighs. No
spots of ecchymosis on neck. Contusion under skin of lower part of neck
and upper part of chest, eight inches long, four broad. Left greater
cornu of hyoid bone fractured. Both upper cornua of thyroid cartilage
fractured; cricoid fractured on each side. Larynx, trachea, and bronchi
contained pink frothy mucus; mucous membrane congested. Lungs much
congested; pink frothy mucus in bronchi; no emphysema nor apoplexies.
Right side of heart full of dark blood; left side empty. Liver, spleen,
and kidneys congested. Stomach and intestines normal. Bladder empty.
Internal genitals normal. Brain congested.
