great steeplechase rider; rode 24 steeplechases and won 17 of
them. _d._ Notting hill London about 31 March 1867 aged about 86.

BEARD, REV. JOHN RELLY. _b._ Southsea, Portsmouth 4 Aug. 1800; ed.
